Networking: DMANC enhances the professional competence of
the individuals who are active, and creates opportunities that expand the
promotional reach of the communities they serve. The association provides a forum for the
exchange of ideas and provides insight to industry-shaping issues. Experienced or not, each member will gain
from his/her involvement.

Education: Through a continuing exchange of information and
ideas, as well as participation in educational programs, DMANC members are
better prepared to mange their organizations in a manner commensurate with the
ever growing competitive environment in which they must succeed. Insight into competitive efforts and improved
marketing techniques help individual members to enhance the economic position
of the community he or she represents.

Issues/Advocacy: The DMANC board of directors believes that the association
must remain active in legislative affairs and support issues that help develop
a stronger tourism economy. The
association works with other industry organizations on legislative affairs
through the North Carolina Travel Industry Association and the North Carolina
Travel and Tourism Coalition. These are
the primary organizations that monitor and promote positive legislative policy
for the tourism sector of North
Carolina’s economy.
